Wendy Andreu is a craft designer communicating through her use of materials . She matches matter , people and spaces . Regen is a collection of carpets and seating elements made in cotton rope and silicone. They were shaped directly in 3D around strong metal templates. The technique « REGEN » that has been developed since 2014 is used on a different level on this project. The textile containers that are produced are no longer used hollow but are filled with soft materials to create a comfortable seating element. The 8 Legged Stools on Wheels are made following the idea of absurd complexity. The function of the object is emphasized by over exaggerating its features. The 8 legs bring a certain heaviness to the piece that needs to be carried by wheels. The sculptural stools are carefully handcrafted in steel, and patinated following two types of hues: Black Shaded color way and Decay color way.
The Double Pyramid is an architectural sculpture cum shelve designed together with Bram Vanderbeke and made out of flat laser cut sheets of aluminum. Based on a construction system that doesn’t require any screws, rivets or welds, this piece of furniture are very easy to assemble and dismantle.
